| Introduction Having felt the necessity to have one strong National Cultural Front of the cultural activists (Writers, Singers, Painters, Actors and other artists etc.), to lunch a very decisive cultural movement against the Feudal, Nepal known as Rastriya Jana-Sanskritik Manch, Nepal (in Nepali) was established in 1988 (2044 BS). It is an autonomous United Front of all national, democratic anti-feudal and anti-imperialist writers and other cultural activist of Nepal. It played very important role to bring all cultural activists under one umbrella against the Panchyat Tyranny at the time of popular People's Movement of 1990. Since then, it has become an authentic common platform for all progressive writers and artist to fight culturally against all kinds of social evils. It has organized many cultural programmes all over the country. It has been registered legally as per the rule of the land. NPCF successfully completed its 3rd National Assembly in Nov. 1998.
Objectives
- To be active to transform the conservative, orthodoxial and regressive culture of Nepal into the People's oriented progressive culture by various cultural activities and performance.
- To educate the people through the cultural activities against all kinds of discrimination, untouchabillity, social evils and injustices etc.
- To conduct high level studies, research of the Linguistic, Cultural and Religious diversities of Nepal.
- To create optimism and empower the downtrodden people, specially tolling masses and women of the country through the writings and various cultural programmes.
- To express the solidarity to the progressive and nationalist cultural movement of the world's progressive forces by organizing different types of cultural activities.
- To educate the people on Public Health, Family Planning, Environment and ecological Problems through various Cultural Performances, street plays, dramas and other activities.
- To publish Periodicals, Journals and Book to meet it objectives.
- To create an environment for cultural development.
- To enhance cultural exchange between various ethnical groups.
- To voice against the all kinds of human exploitation.
